In these instances it is always difficult to know where to start. Granted, the usb mince pie was not the wisest gadget ever made, but it was coming to Christmas many years ago when the USB Memory stick was getting more and more popular. In our labs we where sure we where onto a winner and initially it was true! The USB Mince pie flew of the shelves that Christmas faster than tesco’s 2 for 1 offers! But come early 2005 a few months after Christmas and there was not too many people buying our USB Mince Pies. Instead we where the laughing stock of bloggers, newspapers and even 6 year old kids! We did try for several years to flog our stock until we finally accepted that the bank manager was knocking so we sent the stock for recycling into a new and improved product range!
For better or worse we will always be married to our Mince Pie USB. Now we are into 2011, we have decided this business needs to come back to life again as I have a mortgage like everyone else. We do accept that we have to invent innovative and exciting products (some of these we will show below). Novelties will always be a big thing in our brand (not that we have much or a brand these days!), but watch this space as we will create ‘useful products’ along the way. We have employed Sammy who is head of developments so watch this space for our products coming soon!

Sammy has agreed to make a few novelty products with us to keep spirits up! The first is the kiwi modem. it may look like the ‘mince pie’ recycled to a portable hard drive. Yet, Sammy says he has created this in the unique shape simply because he plans for it to hold over 1 terabyte! So you will see a kiwi modem plugging into a desktop computer or laptop real soon! Within the next few weeks we are going to run a competition for web users to send their photos in doing something interesting with their USB and the winner will get 50 euro!
In 2011 we hope to put an end to the laughing behind our backs and to our faces regarding our mince pie USB. Every dog has his day and with Sammy on board and his CV Bio stating he is a ‘man on a mission’ very quickly you will see how USB Mince pie products become a household name.
